Welcome

Welcome to the My Voice site where you will be introduced to the life stories of people who survived the Holocaust.

My Voice’s mission has been to record the actual words spoken by Survivors and Holocaust Refugees from Greater Manchester, the North West and London.  From these we have produced individual books, written in the first person, voicing their experiences – before, during and after the war years.

We currently feature the synopses of 40 out of a total of 42 books published to date with 15 books currently in production.

Our storytellers’ books are a triumph. They give honour to their lives and enable their stories to be passed on to their loved ones and future generations.

At the same time, they provide present day survivors of genocide and conflict with the possibility of believing in a brighter future.

As well as providing a synopsis of each book, you will also discover here numerous quotes and photographs to help build your understanding of what our storytellers endured. You will be able to appreciate how, despite the horrors they experienced, they managed to rebuild their lives successfully.
