The Fed’s My Voice Project is proud to have published 6 whole life stories of Windermere Children who arrived in the UK in 1945.

Two years ago, to raise money for the My Voice Project, we undertook a fundraising trek, walking in their footsteps from Theresienstadt – where they were liberated – to Prague – from where they flew to the UK.

On the 80th anniversary of their liberation we are now squaring the circle with another fundraising trek in their footsteps walking from Carlisle Airport – where they landed – to the Calgarth Estate on the shores of Lake Windermere where they began their rehabilitation and learnt to live again.

All money raised will be used to support the My Voice Project and its crucial work, which is now more important than ever.

The 5Okm trek – hiked over two days – is mostly flat, and while it is challenging, it is very achievable and will be led and supported by qualified leaders. We will stay overnight in Penrith and kosher food will be provided.
