A powerful evening at the My Voice Film Premiere at MMU’s SODA Centre, where we screened three new Holocaust Survivor films featuring Anne Super, Marianne Philipps, and the late Ike Alterman BEM – each story moving, courageous, and unforgettable.
We were honoured to have Professor Saul Becker – also a trustee of The Fed – open the event and are deeply grateful to Manchester Metropolitan University for hosting us.
The Fed’s My Voice Director, Raphi Bloom, thanked the Storytellers and all those who helped bring these films to life, including our production company, Millk and Jocelyne Elton from the My Voice team.
He shared how the My Voice Project has grown significantly and outlined our plans to deliver an ever‑expanding range of educational resources for schools, further education institutions, football clubs, faith groups, and other organisations.
Professor Steve Rothberg closed the evening with an emotional reflection on the immense impact of My Voice, including his own family’s experience producing his mother Gerda’s My Voice lifestory book.
These new films – along with five others already completed – will now be added to our My Voice educational resources and used alongside our growing collection of books, lesson plans, and Survivor testimonies to support schools, universities, and institutions across the region.
A huge thank you to Manchester Metropolitan University, our partners, families and supporters for helping us ensure these vital stories continue to educate and inspire.
