We were delighted and honoured to present Holocaust Survivor Eva Neumann MBE with her Fed My Voice Life Story Book titled “Living For My Family”.
This is the 43rd book produced by the My Voice Project and tells Eva’s whole life story, in her own words, beginning with her happy childhood in in Szolyva, a small town in the Carpathian Mountains.
It then moves on to Eva’s imprisonment in Auschwitz-Birkenau which saw her witness the horrific atrocities of the Nazis and the “sonderkommando” revolt of 1944 before surviving a death march and being liberated.
Eva’s courage and resilience is evident and runs through her story as it describes how she established a new life for herself after the war, got married, built a family in Manchester and how in her in later years she dedicated her time and energy to Holocaust Education, for which she was awarded an MBE.
