We were honoured to partner with Mill Hill United Synagogue as part of their Tisha B’Av programming on Tuesday 13th August and bring The Fed’s My Voice storyteller Harry Olmer to share excerpts of his book ‘My Revenge on Hitler is My Family’.After the extracts had been read aloud by Harry’s grandson James and daughter Pauline, the audience of over 80 people eagerly listened as Harry answered further questions.

In addition to hearing Harry’s personal story of unimaginable suffering, forced labour and near death in Buchenwald, the audience also heard from The Fed’s My Voice London project-lead Lauren Libbert.

Lauren described the history and future of the My Voice project and how the collection of 43 whole life story books of UK Holocaust Survivors (with 16 more in production) is being used in schools, universities and museums across the UK with great educational impact. The My Voice London project is run in partnership with the Yad Vashem UK Foundation.

So inspired were the attendees, that all available copies of Harry’s book sold out immediately and further orders have been pouring in!
