We were delighted to be back in March at St Monica’s High School in Prestwich with 95yr old Holocaust Survivor & THE FED My Voice Storyteller Ike Alterman BEM.

Ike told his life story to 220 students including his experiences of Auschwitz-Birkenau and a death march along with being brought to the UK as one of the Windermere Boys and rebuilding his life in Manchester.

He shared his powerful messages of hate being a disease, tolerance, kindness and the imperative to stand up to prejudice in a question and answer session facilitated with Fed Director Raphi Bloom.

“When you listen to a witness, you become a witness.”

Thank you to the Tim Myerson and the History Department at St Monica’s for arranging our annual visit.
